- For those of you that know the Carnival, it begins in Villach at 11.11am on the 11th day of the 11th month with the carnival greeting “Lei-Lei”. You are invited to join in the fun and clownish activities of the mucrenowned and loved Villach Carnival during the carnival periode.
- The City Festival in June is for music lover of all ages. On different stages you can see national and international music groups of many different genres.
- In June and July you can go ACKERN in a sunflower field – with music, food and beverage.
- International Street Performer and Artistes Festival
Up to 150 street performers, jugglers and acrobats from up to 15 different nations visit our town for two days in July each year. The slapstick routines of the clowns and the aesthetic of the artists inspire and entertain the local community, as well as our many visitors who come especially to see the festival.
- If you are interested in classical music – visit the Carinthian Summer is in July and August.
- On the first Saturday in August every year, Villach celebrates the Villach Church Festival Week - Villacher Kirchtag - is well known far beyond our borders and is a time when we welcome up to 50.000 visitors to our town. All around the town traditional music groups and dance floors animate the visitor to take part in the festivities. There is also a large amusement park which is not only for children, as there are breathtaking rides for the more adventurous too.
- Music Concert on Stage on the River Drave The highlight of the Carinthian Cultural Summer for the last 18 years in August has been the concert of music on the open-air stage on the River Drave.
- Every year in September the Harley-Davidson meeting takes place in the region. It is an event which has achieved an international cult status amongst bikers. The highlight is a Harley Parade when thousands of bikers join together to ride around Lake Faak to end the festivities.

- The neuebuehnevillach is for theater lovers. In September its closed but the rest of the year you can join the variety wich the theatre offers to their visitors.
