From October 7 to 18, 2026, Carinthia will be transformed into a true paradise for crime fans for the seventh time. The Krimifest Carinthia 2026 presents an extraordinary literary experience at 30 exciting crime scenes in the Villach, Wörthersee-Rosental and Nassfeld-Pressegger See-Weissensee regions.
30 top authors from the crime fiction scene will read from their latest works over 12 days and take you into the dark abysses of crime fiction. The Austrian Crime Fiction Prize will also be officially awarded again in 2026 as part of the Krimifest Kärnten – in Villach, right on our doorstep.
