Alpe-Adria-Trail

The Alpe-Adria-Trail is one of the most famous long-distance hiking trails in Europe. It runs for around 750 kilometers from the foot of the Grossglockner to Muggia near Trieste in Italy, crossing Austria, Slovenia and Italy along the way.

Villach is a stop along the way. In addition to the main trail, there is a seven-stage circular trail around the border triangle. This starts at Lake Faak, leads via Warmbad-Villach, Nötsch and Tarvisio to Kranjska Gora and back to the starting point.
